![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dinner on the beach was ok and the show wasn't great. Mexican at Sunscape was good and service was great. Windows service was good and food was decent. I ended up taking the food to my chair anyways. For some reason I was seated at Windows by myself. If you wanted to order other food than the pool/beach menu you had to sit at a table. Barefoot grille food was good but the service was slow. We went to Sunscape for breakfast one day. If we come back I would definitely pay extra to stay in preferred. Someone brought their dog and would leave it on their balcony to let it bark. Cleaning of the room was inconsistent and there was no turn down service. Also, couldn't enjoy because someone brought their dog and would leave it on their balcony to let it bark. It was located right above the pool so we weren't able to enjoy the balcony privately. I wrote the same thing in my first review in 2015. The iron apparently worked but we couldn't get it to. We had to call the front to ask for everything. When you used the shower, you had to have the handle in the correct spot for hot water. It was super humid and the floor was wet. The room had terrible lighting and hardly no outlets. There was no television in the living area. The bathroom sink was located out in the middle facing the ocean with the living area on the other side. The walls are thin and you could hear others in the hallway. It was located next to the resort hallway and had a frosted window in it. The bedroom was separated from the rest of the room. The first time we visited we stayed in preferred. The driving to get to the resort was a bit crazy. Our luggage did not make it on the plane but when we arrived in Cozumel the airport staff was helpful in putting on claim. We are returning for the 5th time in 24 days, so obviously we think it is a wonderful resort. Our trip started off with a four and half hour delay which led to us barley making our connection. The gift shop at Sunscape is at the top of a huge stairway.Īs I think about the setup of the resort, I think it is pretty accessible especially if you have a swim up room. There is a little gift shop in the little plaza between the lazy river & the waterslide pool. Again, I think you can follow the paths over there with no problem. Sometimes they bring in some one night over at Sunscape. I believe you could reach it without any steps. When we were there last April, there was never anyone in it. There is a bar for the exclusive use of preferred club. Once you are in the water, there is a meandering channel that takes you into the main pool area. The swim up rooms lead to the lazy river. The lazy river has wide steps, with a railing. I don't believe that has a very easy access to the pool. The swim up bar is in the new preferred area. You can do a virtual tour on their website. Swim up preferred club would be the building closest to the ocean in the semicircle area. They also have some elevators in the semicircle bldgs. There are some back hallways where you may be able to avoid them. But it would be a hard push because pretty steep. It seems like there are no steps over those bridge walkways. (At least that was what I ordered because I was in the mood for them.) breakfast was all the normal made to order things. It was things like club sandwiches & ribs. The room service was different from the restaurant menus. I will be appreciative if anybody can help. Is there a way for a wheelchair to get around the pool bridges that have stairs?Īre there beach vendors and will you have to be all the way on the beach to buy from them (ok.I know this weird but he loves them)? It is it really worth if it you are doing a swim up?Īre the room service menus strictly limited in choices and times of service? And/or does anyone have menus they can share? The Preferred Club at Dreams was a joke and a complete waste of money. I'm hoping someone can help by answering a few questions: After reading so many reviews comments, he is worried Secrets will have issues for us. Dreams Huatulco was really lovely and a great experience but not up to par with Rivera Maya standards. We've stayed at Zoetry in The Dominican Republic and Dreams Huatulco but never a Secrets. The only swim-ups I could find was Secrets. I loved it & talked him into looking at it. My Hubby has never been to COZ but I have. Seems to me that Playa has gotten outrageously expensive? Well, not anything we could afford anyway. My hubby has mobility issues and is more comfortable in this type of room. Hi All, looking at Secrets Aura because of the swim up suites. ![]()
